New meteor shower 2026: Earth passes through two debris trails from unknown comets each July and August, the Global Meteor Network has confirmed. M2026-R1 peaks around July 18 in Cetus and M2026-S1 peaks August 19 in Camelopardalis - both on Halley-type retrograde orbits with no match in any comet catalog. The parent comets have never been detected by any telescope. — Tech Times
